My SC300
i got this ride in August 2003. i had gotten sick riding in a slow SUV, and wanted something sportier. i also wanted a stick shift again. lucky for me, i was able to find this rare bird. lexus never put out that many manuals considering most people think of it as a luxury vehicle. i got the car in pretty bad shape. i will post pics of it before and after i did detail work on it. engine runs fine, and if it does drop on me, i will just throw in a twin turbo from the supra. they were built on pretty much the same platform. i don't know how long it will be before i get sick of this one; but until then i am going to have fun with my modifications.

what a difference a set of rims and clean emblems can make, no?
swapped out the gold antenna nut for a chrome one. you can get a toyota camry one for like $9 at the toyota dealer. also, a couple washes and buffing and that dent right in back doesn't look as bad anymore.
another nasty look at the gold rims from the side.
and the oh so beautiful enkeis on the right.
if you look carefully, you can see the gold exhaust tips have been replaced with chrome ones.
okay, that's a closeup of the old gold rims. believe it or not, my ma said those looked good when she first saw them. i kid you not. that doesn't even take into account that they are rusty. i think i am going to paint them and use them for my winter wheels.
on the right, i have a closeup of the enkeis (which i had on my maxima many years back). added some cross drilled rotors and also painted the calipers and added a lexus logo on it. i think it looks good. kinda ricey, but a lexus is still a japanese car, so rice it will be.
here is the final pic to compare the exterior of the car.
the gold badges and exhaust tips have been replaced by nice chrome ones.
that is the old leather shifter on the left. it was kinda worn out so i replaced it with the wood one on the right.
also, had to throw in the typical chinese fixture for the rearview. and what would i do without my air freshener? would you believe i still get questions about that thing (it's been out for like 8 years at least)
